Driving Directions to the Parade Grounds
“Celebrate By The Bay!”
Dear PARADE APPLICANT:
Enclosed is an application for the 45th Annual Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Parade. Please read this letter
carefully. All applicable sections of the REGISTRATION need to be completed by August 20th, 2010 and your entry fee submitted.
Acceptance letters will be mailed to you after receipt, review and approval of your Application. After your application has been approved, you will be sent additional Parade information and instructions.
Note: Non-acceptance letters will explain what information is still needed, and/or reasons for non-acceptance.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Theme:
This year’s Festival and Parade theme is “Celebrate By The Bay!”. To enhance the parade, we
encourage you to incorporate this theme into your entry.
Parade Times:
Grand Parade Check in (Harbour Reach Drive, Mukilteo)
Latest Check-in for Children’s Parade
Start of Children’s Parade
Start of Grand Parade
8:30 a.m.
9:30 a.m.
10:30 a.m.
11:00 a.m.
Parade Route
Both parades start at the corner of Chennault Beach Road and Harbour Pointe Boulevard
Children’s Parade ends at Columbia Elementary parking lot (approx. ½ mile)
Grand Parade ends at the corner of 47th Place W and Harbour Pointe Boulevard (3/4 mile)
Parade Movement:
STOPPING the FORWARD PROGRESS of the Parade is not permitted.
Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the Parade. Keeping the Parade moving is important
due to the number of entries & ages of the children marching.
Fire Extinguisher Mandatory. All motorized (truck, car, tractor) entries are required to carry a fire extinguisher. You will not be judged or permitted to be in the Parade if you do not have a fire extinguisher as required.
Safety:
For SAFETY reasons, the following are PROHIBITED:
No toss outs from units. (Handouts ok, but from designated individuals at curbside only)
Skates/Rollerblades
Skateboards
Bicycles (unless part of the entry)
Alcoholic beverages
